Suzuki Swift 4×4 launched in the UK; Sports higher ground clearance and off-road package
The 4×4 Swift will be available only with the 1.2-liter petrol engine which will come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The automatic transmission is not being offered. Also, you can only have the Swift 4×4 in the five-door body style.
The 4WD system is a fully automatic and permanent one. It transfer s additional torque to the rear wheels only when required via a viscous coupling. Overall, the 4WD Swift weighs a mere 65kg heavier than its 2WD sibling.
CO2 emissions of 126g/km is being claimed for the 4×4 Swift, which is only 10g/km more than the equivalent 2WD version. 
There are two variants available: SZ3 or SZ4. Both have their ground clearances increased by an additional 25mm. However, the SZ4 has a few interesting details.
